WELCOME TO SHARK RIVER

Dear Neighbors,

We love our neighborhood and the people who live in and around “the hills” of our hidden-gem community. We were established the summer of 2018 and we hope to grow to become known as a reliable and trusted resource for introducing people to kayaking on Shark River.

We believe recreational kayaking is something most people can try and we find that most people enjoy it when they are introduced the right way. Which includes learning the basics, like how to get in and out, how to use a paddle to your advantage and learning about the winds and tides.

Jeremy and I are eager to share our love and experience in kayaking on Shark River, and also our growing knowledge of the unique landscape, ecology, weather, winds. We are still in awe and captivated by the wildlife we see, there is such a variety flora and fauna on and near the water and we truly get excited to share that with our neighbors.

Our primary service is education, including Skills Courses and Workshops. We also offer hourly kayak rental and guided trips a couple weekends each month in the summer. When we introduce people to kayaking, our goal is to provide an experience of fun-based learning that is rooted in our American Canoe Association (ACA) background, which is safety focused.

We know many neighbors have their own kayak or SUP and we are happy to be able to supply the “extra boat or two” you may need when you have family and friends visiting. We also provide a unique service that we call “Paddle Time Party”. Plan your next family gathering on the river with us - we’ve partnered with River Hills Cafe Bistro who can provide a “picnic” style menu for your group event and deliver it to the river!

If you enjoy kayaking but don’t find the motivation, time, effort or strength needed to get your kayak to and from the river, clean it, store it, etc. - consider renting from us a few times a season instead of investing in a kayak. The value is that we spare you all the “extra efforts” and you get to hop on and hop off the water, using premium equipment with us making it very easy for you.
